Haiti

The terrible earthquake in Haiti in January caused unimaginable suffering and loss of life. CrossLink has been working closely with medical groups large and small as they strive to bring relief to the Haitian people. Thank you to all those who have donated time, talent and dollars to the relief effort, and please continue to pray for the people of Haiti!

Medical Resources Needed by CrossLink

  1. Over-the-counter medicines such as aspirin, acetaminophen and vitamins as well as physician's samples. CrossLink cannot accept expired medicines or medicines that have been previously prescribed for individuals.
  2. Durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, canes, portable toilets, walkers.
  3. Single use medical supplies such as bandages, drapes, operating gowns, sutures, surgical tubing, gauze, needles, syringes, tape and exam gloves.
  4. Hospital fixtures such as beds, exam tables, surgical lights, autoclaves, microscopes and centrifuges. (Operation manuals must accompany electrical equipment.)
  5. Hospital supplies such as surgical instruments, stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, scales and operating room surgical kits.
  6. Used and new prescription eyeglasses.
  7. Items that can be directly used by CrossLink such as office equipment.

Medical Resources Not Accepted by CrossLink

Medicines
  1. Medicines requiring refrigeration
  2. Expired medicines
  3. Medicines previously prescribed for individuals
  4. Controlled substances (FDA schedule II - IV drugs)
  5. Experimental drugs not approved by the FDA for general use
  6. Homeopathic medicines
  7. RU486
Supplies
  1. Hydraulic dental chairs
  2. Non-working medical or dental devices
  3. Expired medical supplies
  4. Rusted, dirty or badly-worn items
  5. Food
  6. Clothing
